Who is behind Malama AI Solutions?
The company was founded by a longtime Hawaiʻi resident who was born and raised on the island of Oahu, and who worked as a city bus driver for over 20 years and a tour bus driver for 12 more. In 2018, a brain aneurysm changed her life. Now disabled and a senior herself, she experienced firsthand how difficult phone systems can be — especially for our kupuna. That inspired her to build something better: an AI solution that listens first, speaks kindly, and helps people feel heard. Even while managing daily seizures, she continues to build with heart, purpose, and aloha.
